Vehicle production in Kazakhstan up 26.4% year-on-year this year
International Business News – According to data from the Kazakhstan Automobile Business Association, in July 2022, a total of 7,783 vehicles will be produced in Kazakhstan, an increase of 5% compared to the same period in 2021. In the context of global supply shortages, Kazakh manufacturing companies are changing logistics chains to shorten delivery times and changing parts suppliers.
In just seven months in 2022, Kazakhstan produced a total of 59,628 vehicles, with a total output value of 596 billion tenge, an increase of 26.4% compared to January-July 2021.
The five most popular brands produced by Kazakh companies include: Chevrolet (21,201 units), Hyundai (19,322 units), Kia (6,766 units), Lada (4,573 units), and JAC (3,623 units).
According to statistics from January to July, Kostanay Saryarka AvtoProm produced 37,036 vehicles, with a total equipment output value of 303.5 billion tenge, an increase of 29.2%. Almaty Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan (Hyundai) produced 19,322 vehicles (+35.4%) with a total output value of 260.6 billion tenge. Semipalatinsk SemaZ shipped 1,306 units (47.2% decrease) with a total output value of 15.6 billion tenge. In Kokshetau, KAMAZ-Engineering produced 714 trucks (-13.3%). The Hyundai TransAuto plant produced 602 trucks and buses (+21.4%). QazTehna and Daewoo Bus Kazakhstan produce 107 and 123 buses respectively.
It was previously reported that sales of new vehicles in Kazakhstan’s auto market rose by 9.1 percent in July.
