Nanjing speeds up custom clearance of outbound anti-pandemic supplies

The postal section of Nanjing Customs disclosed on March 12 that it has increased the custom clearance for items sent abroad to help fight the COVID-19 outbreak.

Since February, over 13,000 parcels with nearly 400,000 masks were sent abroad. In this month alone, about 150,000 masks in 5,000 batches have already been delivered to the United States, Britain, Japan and other countries.

Recently, due to the spread of the novel coronavirus outside China, many Nanjing citizens have chosen to mail epidemic prevention materials to overseas relatives and friends, and the number of postal parcels has increased greatly.

Nanjing Customs opens a green channel to accelerate the custom clearance of such parcels, making sure they can be cleared in the shortest time.
