Huai’an People’s Congress holds 33rd session

The standing committee of the 8th Huai’an People’s Congress, the local legislature, held the 33rd session on April 29, with the second plenary meeting chaired by the committee’s chairwoman Cai Lixin, also secretary of the CPC Huai’an Committee.

The first plenary meeting heard a report bout the personnel appointment and dismissal, a report about the city’s COVID-19 response and capacity-building in public health emergencies, a report about environmental protection progress in last year, and a report about results of the review of the proposal to optimize the business environment and promote the development of the real economy.

The second plenary meeting adopted relevant personnel appointment and dismissal, adopted a decision to change members of the qualification review panel for members of the standing committee of Huai’an People’s Congress, adopted the proposal to optimize the business environment and promote the development of the real economy, adopted a decision to speed up construction of cargo hub airport, voted on the satisfaction level over the work report of the government and the court, and introduced the planned agenda of the standing committee.
